Many people recognize the importance of character, but not as many people recognize that integrity is more important than character. In fact, integrity is the parent of character. It is the producer of character. If a person lacking in character will get integrity then they will eventually get character. But it is possible to have certain character qualities but not keep them because of a lack of integrity. Integrity is the unwavering determination in the heart to do right no matter what. A person of integrity works when he is being watched & when he is not being watched. He pays his bills on time. He cannot rest if he has inadvertently taken advantage of someone without making it right. It’s better to have a handshake from a man of integrity than a signed contract from a man lacking integrity. Integrity must be held in the heart and should not be for sale at any price. It is both a guide and a guard for a person’s life. And integrity is most important in the home.
