Have you ever been deeply hurt by someone who never made things right with you? What was your response? There are people spending fortunes trying to relieve their minds. What they really need to do is let God relieve their hearts of bitterness. Bitterness is a possibility for anyone. It is highly contagious. It is destructive. It stops spiritual growth and begins spiritual decline. It robs a Christian of his fruitfulness. It also blinds the bitter person to its presence and power. In particular, bitterness: (1) Gives ground to demonic powers. (2) Shows you have the same root problem as the person who did you wrong. (3) Cuts you off from those you need. (4) Leads you toward moral failure. (5) Shows you have temporal values. (6) Feeds a curse coming down the generations. (7) Causes you to reject God.
