The Multigenerational Vision of the Mather Family Scott Brown
George Washington said that the Mathers were the true founding fathers of America. For three generations, Richard, Increase and Cotton were dedicated to the prosperity of the church and they cried out for the sons of the next generation. And, they were a family dedicated to the rising generation with a clear vision of home, church and government. It is said they were a fusion of intellect, spirituality and duty. The Mathers believed that every ounce of our beings should be spent for the glory of God and that each generation should self consciously spend itself to strengthen the next.
