Nineteen years old and hidden in a foxhole during the Battle of the Bulge, a man named Clyde True promised God his life if he got out alive. Clyde survived and fulfilled that promise by going on to become a popular Christian evangelist. When Clyde passed away in 1985, hundreds of people came to pay their respects. My name is Jeff True and Clyde True was my grandfather. In January 2004, I began a journey to discover Clyde True. Following his life from childhood, through the war and eventually to Bible College and ministry, Clyde’s story is told through the memories of his friends and family. Passionate and emotional behind the pulpit. A practical joker with his friends. A loving husband and father. Clyde True was a man that people were drawn too. Clyde looked death in the face during WWII. This journey of Clyde’s life shows how one man went From a Foxhole to a Church Revival.
