There’s plenty of doublebarreled action in this double feature, as Red Ryder and Little Beaver confront outlaws and restore peace in Colorado’s Blanco Basin. On the rugged Western slopes, the fabled hero and his trusty sidekick unmask villains and foil the bad guys’ plans. In San Antonio Kid (1944), greedy outlaws in pursuit of the coveted “black gold” frighten local ranchers into leaving their homesteads in order that they may buy up all the valuable land. Red Ryder comes to the rescue. In Cheyenne Wildcat (1947), Red Ryder is the unwilling object-of-desire caught between the love of two different ladies, but still finds the time to outwit a gang of ornery outlaws.
