Are we tepid because we are timid, or timid because we are tepid? Jesus told the church in Laodicea that He would spit them out because they were neither hot nor cold. We too, modern evangelicals, contemporary Reformed believers, even we homeschooling folk, fall into the same lukewarm water. We lack zeal. We lack passion. And so we lack the blessing of God. In this conversation we consider those wet blankets that quell our fire, and seek to fan the flames of our fervor. Our prayer is that you will come away from this conversation repentant and renewed. Our prayer is that we would all once more be consumed with one holy passion, to know, to love and to serve our great King. Behold He stands at the door and knocks.
